One of my brothers texted me the other day in search of a recipe for a cucumber pickle to have with some hot smoked salmon, and after a few moments consideration , I sent him this recipe back via text message. He said it was delicious. It would also be great with cheddar cheese and white bread and butter, or a ham and mustard sandwich.
Here’s my text:
“Hmm heat up a small
cup of vinegar with a
cup of water and a
tablespoon of sugar in a
pan, dissolve and also a
few peppercorns and
some slices of onion,
add the cucumber (cut
out centre if really
watery) heat for 5,
allow to cool.”
